MIX is a new anthropogenic emission inventory for Asia for the years 2008 and 2010. It is developed to support the Model Inter-Comparison Study for Asia Phase III (MICS-Asia III) and the Task Force on Hemispheric Transport of Air Pollution (TF HTAP) projects by a mosaic of up-to-date regional and national emission inventories including REAS inventory version 2.1 for the whole of Asia (Kurokawa et al., 2013), the Multi-resolution Emission Inventory for China (MEIC) developed by Tsinghua University, a high-resolution NH3 emission inventory by Peking University (Huang et al., 2012), an Indian emission inventory developed by Argonne National Laboratory (ANL-India, Lu et al., 2011; Lu and Streets, 2012), and the official Korean emission inventory from the Clean Air Policy Support System (CAPSS) (Lee et al., 2011). The development of the MIX inventory was led by Tsinghua University (Qiang Zhang) with input from Asia Center for Air Pollution Research (Jun-ichi Kurokawa and Toshimasa Ohara), Konkuk University (Jung-Hun Woo), Argonne National Laboratory (Zifeng Lu and David Streets), and Peking University (Yu Song).

MIX排放清单是为东亚模式比较计划第三期(MICS-Asia III)和联合国半球大气污染传输计划(HTAP)开发的2008年和2010年亚洲人为源排放清单。该清单采用多尺度数据耦合方法开发,通过耦合同化MEIC(中国)、PKU-NH3(中国氨排放清单)、CAPSS(韩国)、ANL-India(印度)、REAS2(日本、台湾)等本地化排放清单,为多尺度的大气化学传输模式提供排放输入数据。MIX清单由清华大学主持开发,日本亚洲空气污染管理研究所Jun-ichi Kurokawa博士和Toshimasa Ohara博士、韩国建国大学Jung-Hun Woo教授、北京大学宋宇教授、美国阿岗国家实验室David G. MIX provided emission estimates for Asia for the years 2008 and 2010. The domain of MIX covers 30 countries and regions, stretching from Kazakhstan in the west to Far East Russia in the east, and from Indonesia in the south to Siberia in the north. Emissions are aggregated into five sectors: power, industry, residential, transportation, and agriculture. Ten chemical species are included in the MIX inventory, including both gaseous species and aerosol species: SO2, NOx, CO, NMVOC (non-methane volatile organic compounds), NH3 (ammonia), PM10 (particulate matter with diameter less than or equal to 10 μm), PM2.5 (particulate matter with diameter less than or equal to 2.5 μm), BC (black carbon), OC (organic carbon) and CO2. Only emissions from anthropogenic sources are included in MIX. NMVOC emissions are speciated into model-ready inputs for two chemical mechanisms: CB05 and SAPRC-99. Monthly emissions are provided by sector at 0.25º x 0.25º resolution.

Data version 数据版本

  • June 2015, the MIX inventory was updated to version 1.1. Emissions of Hong Kong and the Republic of Korea, and NH3 emissions in China were updated.
  • March 2013, MIX inventory v.1.0 was developed and submitted to MICS-Asia and HTAP projects.

  • Gridded emissions are prepared in NetCDF format.
  • Filename format: MICS_Asia_xx(species name)_xxxx(year)_0.25×0.25.nc.
  • For each species, emissions by five sectors are developed: POWER, INDUSTRY, RESIDENTIAL, TRANSPORT and AGRICULTURE (only for NH3).
  • Spatial resolution: 0.25 x 0.25 degree. Domain: 40.125 E – 179.875 E (center of grid, longitude), 20.125 S – 89.875 N (center of grid, latitude). Dimension of dataset: 560 (cols) x 441 (rows) x 12 (months).
  • Units of gridded emissions: For CB05 and SAPRC-99 mechanisms: Mmol/month/grid (106 mol/month/grid); For other species: Mg/month/grid (106 g/month/grid).
  • 排放数据格式为NetCDF。
  • 文件格式为: MICS_Asia_xx(物种名称)_xxxx(年份)_0.25x0.25.nc。
